Maybelline dream satin liquid foundation Review/swatches-B4

Hey everyone....

I have been looking for a foundation that matches my skin tone to dot, there is so much to look for in a perfect foundation like coverage ,finish, tone etc.So today iam going to review a new foundation that i have added to my foundation family,The Maybelline dream satin liquid foundation. This foundation was launched with the rebel boutique collection but i purchased it few weeks back and have used it quite a few times and thought now its time for my review on it..so keep reading to know my take on the foundation.

Price: Rs 700 for 30 ml

My Experience :

The packaging comes in a transparent glass bottle with a  pump dispenser which makes it
very convenient  and easy to use.Pump dispenser controls the amount of product and it avoids wastage of product and is quite hygienic.

Iam in the shade b4 and it matches my skin fine,This foundation has a very thick consistency and is not liquidy its got a satin finish and very easy to blend ,provided your skin is well moisturized if you have dry skin.you can either use your hands or a foundation brush for blending it out and both ways works really well.its gives medium coverage ,and you can build this foundation for a a higher coverage and it does not look cakey on my skin.

The foundation does not have any scent and its stays around for around 6-7 hours and this was without any primer on my skin so iam sure if used with a  primer the staying power is going to be more.

It gives a nice dewy finish and natural look to my skin, and it does minimize your pores, how ever i would recommend dry skinned beauties to moisturize your skin well because it has thick consistency rather than liquidy or runny. Its a good quality foundation and a very little amount is enough for the whole face, overall its a good foundation which is quite blend able ,but the shade selection in India is not that impressive.

Pros:

  • The foundation seems pretty light on my skin and is easy easy to blend
  • Travel friendly and hygienic packaging
  • The product does not have any scent
  • The staying power is very good even without a primer
  • The application works well with hands or beauty blender or brushes too
  • It gives a nice dewy finish
  • It has spf.

Cons

  • It does not have much shade selection
  • The label does not have much of information

Rating: 3.95/5

  3. Hey Diya! thanks for sharing this review.. few days back I was at a beauty store testing their samples, but couldn't get which one I should buy so came out empty handed. :-( I think I shall check it as maybelline counter, maybe the SA out there will tell me what's best for my skin tone.
